Taylor's Tailored Approach:

Taylor Gordon is certified Pilates instructor, 200 hour Yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and professional dancer based in NYC with over a decade of experience. Her approach to teaching applies the precision and accuracy of alignment to the joy of movement so that all clients meet their individual goals, whether that’s sculpting and toning, recovering from an injury, or improving balance and flexibility. Taylor creates custom workouts for students of all ages and abilities, designing an exercise flow that keeps moving and improving. Currently offering livestream group Ballet & Pilates classes, online private sessions, and workout videos for download. Pilates - Dance - Yoga - Barre - Stretch.

Taylor believes there’s a fine line between stressing and stretching muscles and she aims to tailor sessions to eliminate pain. She is experienced with clients with challenges such as extreme weight loss, torn ACL, hip and knee replacements, chronic back pain, glaucoma, blindness, and MS, as well as with healthy weekend warriors, professional dancers, and athletes. Through her work clients improve functional movement, develop deep core strength, and refine their ideal body aesthetic.

Taylor has over a decade of teaching and performing experience in NYC. She holds mat and apparatus certifications from Pilates Academy International where she now trains new teachers as a Certifying Instructor. She is an American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor, Functional Training & Senior Fitness Specialist with up-to-date CPR/AED/First-Aid certifications.  She recently completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Her dance credits include Radio City, Lincoln Center, off-Broadway, commercials, national and international tours. She is also certified in Zumba, Masala Bhangra, AxleCore, and has further training with CoreAlign and SilkSuspension. A writer as well, she holds a BA in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College and a Master’s Degree in Publishing from Pace University with a Teach English as a Foreign Language certificate.


Taylor currently teaches in NYC for Pilates on Fifth, Crunch Fitness, The Mercedes Club, The Pilates Movement, and The United Nations Ballet Club. Her workout videos are available on Amazon. With Crunch, she has appeared on The Today Show, worked out on TV with Shaun T of Insanity, and taught special summer classes at South Street Seaport. She has assisted choreographer Jeremy McQueen in setting work on students at The American Ballet Theatre JKO School and The Ailey School and has substituted at Peridance and Gibney Dance. She spent 4 years on faculty of Third Street Music School and was a teaching assistant at Ballet Academy East NYC. Taylor has guest taught ballet and musical theater in Japan, China, India, Bali, Florida, New Jersey, and Connecticut and has staged classical repertoire as assistant to master teacher Kat Wildish for the Performing in NY Showcase, for which she is Associate Director. She has also taught Dance History at the high school level for he School for Young Performers and the Ballet4Adults Certification Program.



Taylor Gordon is an international dancer, teacher, and writer based in NYC. She has performed at Lincoln Center with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, in 4 seasons of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Off-Broadway and national tour of Angelina Ballerina The Musical, at The Kennedy Center & Carnegie Hall, internationally as a dance captain & resident director with Spirit Productions, TUI Cruises, & Cirque Le Masque, at Jacob’s Pillow, and Dance Theater Workshop, and with numerous ballet & contemporary companies in NYC like Exit12 Dance Company. The New York Times wrote, “on that big stage, Ms. Gordon does indeed seem a star,” referring to Radio City Music Hall in a full page Sunday Arts feature. She trained at Boston Ballet, The Rock School, and Ballet Academy East and spent summers with Twyla Tharp, Complexions, ABT, & Miami City Ballet. An AGMA and AGVA member, she has appeared on television in a principal role in a commercial on Time Warner Cable NYC, on PBS Great Performance at the Met Live in HD, MTV’s “Made,” and The Today Show. She has been featured on CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS, Dance Magazine, Vanity Fair Online, The Huffington Post, Dance Spirit, and The Times of India. 


Taylor received a BA in Communication Arts and a Master’s Degree in Publishing by age 20. Her certifications include full Pilates apparatus & mat, American Council on Exercise Functional Training Specialist & Group Fitness Instructor, Zumba B1, AxleCore, and TEFL. Taylor teaches in NYC at Pilates on Fifth, Crunch, The Pilates Movement, The Mercedes Club, and the United Nations Ballet Club, and her workout videos are available on Amazon. Taylor is absolute MAGIC. She truly helped me transform my body for my wedding and the definition in my legs, arms and back as a result were incredible. I never knew my arms and legs could look they way they did! After each session I am sore in all the right places and feel so good about the work we have done. I’ve been using various Taylor Gordon videos through the last year. I really appreciate her thorough explanations and options for difficulty (she gives options for beginners up to advanced throughout the videos). So many workout videos fail to provide deep stretching and/or careful explanations, but Taylor does. I’ll be watching her this year, too!
